What if I need to cancel my order?
If you have changed your mind and no longer want your order just get in touch with us. We can arrange this for you provided your order has not already been packed or shipped. If your order has been packed or shipped, we unfortunately cannot offer a cancellation.
Can I return my order?
Unfortunately we cannot offer returns if the order is unwanted as it’s a perishable item.
What if my order is damaged?
In the unfortunate event of damaged goods arriving please get in contact with us immediately with a photo showing the damage so we can replace it.
What’s in your gingerbread?
A whole lot of yumminess. We have 2 different recipes. Our standard and vegan recipes.
Standard: Fortified wheat flour, golden syrup, brown sugar, butter, ground ginger, bicarbonate soda, cinnamon, salt, ground cloves.
Vegan/Dairy Free: Fortified wheat flour, golden syrup, brown sugar, dairy free spread [vegetable oils; water; salt; emulsifiers E471; sunflower lecithin; preservative-potassium sorbate; acid-lactic acid; B vitamins (niacin, B6, B2, folic acid, B12), flavourings; colours-annatto, curcumin], ground ginger, bicarbonate soda, cinnamon, salt, ground cloves.
What allergens are in your gingerbread?
In our standard recipe - Dairy (butter) Egg (royal icing mix) Wheat (flour)
In our Dairy Free/Vegan recipe - Wheat (flour)
Our gingerbread and icing mix is all nut free. However, our sweets may contain traces of nuts.
Some of our sweets have artificial colours and flavours.
Can I have all natural colours in my sweets?
If you’d prefer to have all natural and no artificial colours in your sweets please send us an email or give us a call with your order number and we’ll arrange that for you.
Can I customise my sweets/order?
If you would like a custom order please get in contact. As you can appreciate, custom orders take more time and will therefore have an additional cost.
Can I order now for Christmas?
Yes! when you checkout there is an option for Pre-order. Simply enter the date you’d like it to arrive by and we’ll bake it fresh for when you need it.
Can I Pre-order for any occasion?
Yes! Any time you’d like a kit to arrive simply checkout and fill in the pre-order form with the date you’d like and any extra information you’d like us to know.
How long will my gingerbread house last?
Gingerbread has a very long shelf life. We put a best before date on our gingerbread 3 months from when we bake it. It can definitely last longer if stored in an airtight container, but of course is best eaten fresh. Each year I make my Christmas gingerbread house at the start of December and it lasts perfectly for Christmas and beyond.
Putting a house together scares me, They always fall apart!
We understand completely, which is why we provide step by step instructions and a link to video instructions with our packs. If you’re really nervous contact us and we’d be happy to help you out.
My Royal Icing is too runny! What do I do?
This is the main issue when putting a house together. If your icing is too runny it will often fall apart and need propping up to keep it together while it takes hours upon hours to dry. If your icing is too runny, simply add more icing sugar to the mix and beat until it’s nice and thick.
Do you ship worldwide?
Currently we only ship to the UK. We do this as shipping outside of the UK ends up being more expensive than our products.
Help! I don’t want to host my gingerbread party alone.
Each gingerbread house party/building event is custom designed to suit you. If you feel you would benefit from having Fiona’s expertise at your event we can absolutely cater to this.
I live just outside the free delivery for party packs but don’t want to order packs to assemble. Can I arrange to pick up my order?
Yes! please contact us to arrange this.
Do I have to bake anything?
No, all the house pieces are pre-baked and are ready to assemble. No oven mitts required!
Do I need any extra ingredients?
You will need to add water to the royal icing mix but that’s it. Everything else is included!
How long will it take me to assemble?
You will need to make up the royal icing first which will take about 5 minutes. Then approximately 5 minutes to put the house together. You will then need to let it set for at least an hour before decorating. Decorating can be as fast or slow as you please.
What do you use for packaging?
All our packaging has been sourced to reduce waste and promote recycling. Our piping bags are compostable. The cello bags we use are made from biodegradable and compostable cellulose and our boxes are recyclable. Even our mailer bags are fully recyclable.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
We aim for dispatch within 2-3 days. All gingerbread is baked to order, cooled, then packaged. We ship Royal mail 1st class so you can expect your order to arrive within 4-5 business days. If it has been 6 business days or more since you placed your order please get in contact with us.
Why is my gingerbread a different colour to your photographs?
While we strive for uniformity with each house we cannot guarantee it. Each house is baked to order and may be a different shade to what is pictured.
